Try Rebit free for 30 days
Full system protection backs up your entire computer. It will automatically back up everything on the hard drive that you boot your computer from.
If you have a second hard drive inside your computer, you can click the Modify button to add that drive to your full system backup.
When you enable Full System Protection, whenever your computer is connected to the local or network backup drive, Rebit Backup keeps your computer backed up by capturing changes “on the fly” as you work with your computer.
When your computer is disconnected from that backup destination, no backups occur. But Rebit Backup backs up changes to files on your computer as soon as you reconnect it.
What happens when my external backup drive fills up??
Hi Phil, thanks for the question. You need an external drive that is larger than the primary drive. Assuming that’s in place, Rebit “intelligently prunes” old backups to avoid running out of space. Backup files are incremental, so it’s not a full replication each time. This allows you to store a fairly long history even if your external drive isn’t huge. Does that help?
I mistakenly did a local backup on a hard drive that I didn’t mean to. Since the Rebit data file is hidden, I cannot find it. How can I delete the backup file without deleting the other data which I WANT TO KEEP?
Hi Walter, the backup file is hidden by default in Windows. This post will show you how to view the backup file so you can then delete it: https://rebitgo.com/blog/how-to-find-hidden-rebit-backup-files/
I tried the procedure several times; it didn’t work. I am using the latest version of Windows 10; could that be the problem?
Hi Walter, sorry for the issue. Everything should work fine with Windows 10. I have notified the support team to reach out to you. Thanks!
