We understand that upgrading to an entirely new platform takes time and effort, so we are committed to helping you. In this article, we’ll walk you through the installation process step-by-step to help you upgrade to the latest version of Rebit. In short, your migration to Rebit 2 is on us.
Before You Get Started
At the initial launch of Rebit 2, some Rebit 1 features will not be available.

Rebit 2 will initially support cloud storage. The ability to back up to local and NAS storage targets will be added in an upcoming release.

The Partner Portal with reseller and partner features will be added in a future release.

The Small Business Portal with employee management features will also be added in a future release.
If these excluded features are important to you, please do not upgrade yet. These features will be released over the next few months.
Migration from Legacy Rebit to Rebit 2
Cancelling the Legacy Rebit Subscription
1. Visit https://www.rebitgo.com.
2. Navigate to Account Details via My Account.
3. Log in to your account by entering your credentials.
4. Select Subscriptions under the My account list.
5. Navigate to Subscriptions to expand your record.

6. Click the Cancel button alongside Actions.
7. Confirmation of your cancellation will appear on top as shown.
Please note that the current subscription will last throughout the month, but you will not be charged for the next month.
Note: After your subscription ends, you will still be able to reactivate your legacy Rebit subscription for up to 30 days.
Uninstalling Legacy Rebit
1. Click the Search box on the taskbar.
2. Enter “Add or remove programs” and select it from the search results displayed.
3. Enter “Rebit Pro” in the ‘Search this’ list field.
4. Click Rebit Pro to display the Uninstall button.
5. Click the Uninstall button.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
You will be asked if you want to keep backups or delete them. Please remember that this refers to your backups present in the back end.
Note: We recommend you keep the backups so that you can still access them if you choose to revert to the old Rebit. Your local backups will persist until you delete them.
Signing Up for Rebit 2 Trial
1. Visit Sentinel.
2. Fill up the fields with relevant details.
3. Read the Terms & Conditions by clicking the link and tick the checkbox if you agree.
4. Select CREATE ACCOUNT.
5. Set Your Password mail through the link sent to your inbox.
6. Once you get the Password changed notification, click Back to Sentinel.
7. Log in with your credentials.
8. Click the DOWNLOAD REBIT button to download the installation file.
9. After the sign-up is complete, you will be presented with your Sentinel dashboard.
10. Select the files and folders you want to backup.
