Pronounced Overall Performance Improvement
Rebit is known for making backups efficient and smooth, but that doesn’t mean it would consume lots of system resources. We understand there is a necessity in trying to spare system resources at the expense of your backup applications due to the memory-consuming nature. Hence, in this 2.3 release, we’ve stocked Rebit with massively improved performance to reduce memory usage boosting the speed of backup operation and smoothing the execution of backing up to reduce system resource utilization significantly. This version lets you do your work efficiently without slowing your computer. Here’s a glimpse of the performance of Rebit.
Solid Security Against Ransomware
About 37% of global organizations said they were a victim of some form of a ransomware attack in 2021, according to IDC’s “2021 Ransomware Study.” Over the past couple of years, there’s been a steady increase in ransomware attacks – a 13% YoY (Year-over-Year) increase says Verizon Business study. While ransomware continues to be in the headlines, with new variants entering businesses in different ways to corrupt your data and files demanding ransom, are you sure your data is safe from dangerous and expensive ransomware attacks? Well, you will be with Rebit.
Our team looked closely into providing better than before security to your data. As a result, a prominent feature of this release is the paramount importance placed on data protection. Rebit proactively detects files with known ransomware extensions to help protect your data from such attacks. As seen in the above image, a warning will pop up when a ransomware file extension is detected while backing up files and folders, prompting you to take the required action. Sticking to a safety-first approach, Rebit detects and responds to ransomware by managing your security risks, recognizing vulnerabilities, and minimizing the impact of attacks.
Experience the Precision of Our Intuitive UI
This 2.3 release has an exclusive feature for Rebit Endpoint Backup users.
Improved Desktop UI: The desktop app interface has been improved in several significant ways, largely driven by feedback from our users. Now, the Rebit app window will be visible at the center of the screen with movable functionality. There is also a preference to enable or disable minimizing the app window with the new Auto-minimize option in the Rebit app as shown in the below image.
Redesigned Sentinel UI: Additionally, the Sentinel Portal, a unified portal for managing your subscriptions effectively, has been redesigned to give a new look and feel.
Better Subscription Management: The Subscription Management feature has a few usability changes that enable better management of licenses.
Over-Simplified User Management
In a business environment, there will always be a need to separate important data from specific users. Different departments have their own separate set of data that may be sensitive for other users to view; from important HR documents to accounting or financial spreadsheets. For this functionality, you need a software that can give you the ability to have multiple users for your account and also provide user-specific permissions to what data is accessible. While Rebit was equipped with this feature earlier, we’ve made it simpler for you. An option has been enabled to add multiple users using a CSV file on the Sentinel Portal. You can now add up to 100 users at once, simplifying the user management of Rebit Endpoint Backup users. It is certainly advantageous for your business.
